“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV
It is human nature to be anxious. We are anxious about many things in our lives. Depending on the person, but anxiety can affect them deeply. Even small anxieties can ruin people’s lives.
However, the Bible says, ‘do not be anxious but pray,’ and I can feel God’s grace through this verse. It would be horrible if only humans existed and suffered all the time. We can feel God’s love and kindness when we rely on Him and He answers our prayers; it is beyond our understanding.
Since March this year (2025), I have been studying at an online Bible School called ISOM (International School of Ministry). Each time, I learn more deeply about God through videos and textbooks. Actually, as I write this, I am learning about the power of prayer.
If you aren’t a Christian yet, you might not pray to Jesus — but prayer has the power to change your life. When you pray, you can receive relief and peace; it is very similar or even better than when someone understands your struggles. Through lessons at ISOM, I’ve learned the importance of prayer and that many prayers have brought people to Jesus.
It may require practice for us not to be anxious; but I want you to enjoy knowing that our Creator listens to our prayers! If you stop your anxious thoughts and focus on praying instead — He will bless us abundantly — our future does not have include suffering! Lastly: I want to pray for you.
Heavenly Father, what a privilege to pray to the Creator of the world! Instead of being anxious, may we boldly bring everything to you in prayer each day. Please help us learn how to pray, and please give us the habit of praying. We trust that you will hear each one of our prayers. In Jesus’ name we praise and pray, Amen.
