      Wash Each Other's Feet

"If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.”John 13:14 NKJV

The Bible’s command to “love one another” is well known, but I think we don’t often hear the words “wash one another’s feet.”

Although the Bible teaches us to serve others. It’s still surprising to see how humble Jesus was.

It’s easy to be humble with close friends. But can we do the same for strangers or people we find difficult to be around?

For example, my dream is to share God’s goodness through my books. But if, during that process, I forget to be humble, I lose the true purpose of writing about God. Of course, if many people read my books, I would be honored. But it’s dangerous if I start to believe that I achieved this by my own talents and effort. I am able to write only because God encouraged, guided, and challenged me.

Another danger is trusting myself too much and ignoring the opinions of those around me. God created us to help one another, and the Bible says that when we gather together, Jesus is also with us. (Matthew 18:19-20)

I truly want to glorify God instead of being proud of myself. I want to help others through my books. I want to do what Jesus did for others, and even if I cannot do much, I still want to pray for them every day.

I know I sometimes hurt people — and I have done it in the past. But I want to repent and apologize as soon as possible. I want to thank God and the people who support me, and become someone who continues to pray for others.
